~ Will my life be colourful? ~

This post have won in Take Flight With Color Contest organized by IndiBlogger in association with HP (LaserJet Printer ~ colours your Business and Life). I thank all the sweethearts for selecting my post as one of the winning entries. Thank you for your prayers, votes and wishes.. Happy Man.. Thank you thank you thank you...

I was sitting outside the scan room waiting for my dad to come out. Life was dark and black from last Friday (17-06-2011). But then... how colourful it was before? I silently closed my eyes and revisited my sweet colourful memories.

My sweet family is richer than richest in love and affection but yet to grow in monetary values. It consists of five flowers, first my dad 'Mr. Murugan' working as a painter, my mom 'Mrs. Meenakshi Murugan' a perfect homemaker, my elder sister 'Priya Arun' she is married and a perfect homemaker and my younger brother, ‘Raja' pursuing his B.Sc in Nautical Science. Although I am in Bangalore, my bro in his college hostel, my sister in her home and my parents in our home, whenever we meet it was fun, smiles, happiness and colourful altogether. This is my sweet home which had seen all our smiles and colourful moments of life right from the moment I was born until last Friday.

It is a big list and I love to mention a few...

Da-daddy ‘I learnt A,B,C’ showing my slate to my sweet dad and mom

Daddy, ‘First Rank’ I shouted showing my U.K.G report card to my dad and mom

‘2 x 5 =’ 10, I smiled happily after answering my dad correctly

‘Thanks dad for the pencil’... I was much excited about writing with ‘Natraj Pencil’

‘Daddy, my sweet bro’... I exclaimed touching my mom’s stomach, they said not to dream about bro as God only knows the gender of the child but I strongly said the baby will be a boy baby and as I believed, my sweet bro touched this earth on March 31, 1993.

‘aww, my bro and my sis are the sweetest person in this world’ I exclaimed now and then

‘The luckiest person in the world is ...’ I happily shouted after completing my fifth Standard Annual Exams.

‘ahooooooooooo... today my Sweet sister scored 481 in X Standard Public Examination (School First, State 10th)... Wow’ I said proudly to this world
‘It is my turn to register my name and I did so by scoring centum in Mathematics X Standard Public Exams’

‘I got a merit seat in one of the top university of India’... I was happy man then.

‘Aww... I got selected in Campus Interview’, it was proud moment for my dad and Mom... Awww...

‘Wow, today I received my first salary. This Sms is an acknowledgement... Wow...” I exclaimed...

‘Bro, you did it’ I congratulated him when he managed to get seat for Nautical Science (his dream).

‘Wow, my niece scored 492/500, State Fifth (X Standard Public Examination)

And it goes on...

Uncountable sweet colourful moments in my life and SmileS, as I say I was enjoying every single moment in my sweet of journey called ‘Life’ and its reflections is my blog, ‘Few Miles’, a colourful love blog. It has seen many colourful moments right from the moment I first started this blog and here are few of those..

I was happily dreaming about my life, and they planned to get me married, Life was colourful but when my dad went down to earth with abdominal pain. My heart stopped for a minute, and he was taken to the hospital where he was first given treatment to control the unbearable pain. Later doctors doubted about the possibility of any tumour in stomach, so we were advised for endoscopy, which revealed the truth, and on different scans and tests, they confirmed that my sweet father who brought me up in life with all pain is suffering from carcinoma in large intestine.

I never thought this would happen to my dad but… God made it happen… I am so disturbed from the moment I heard this. I’m void, my life is dark and black, and with pain all around me, I could just shed blood from my pen.

and here is a poem for my dad (I penned this on Father’s Day)...

O my Dear Dad,
I remember the time; you first embraced me and said,
“You are my gift and nothing can equal my happiness”

O my Dear Dad,
I remember the time when I first uttered “apppaaa” ~ “daddy) and I know
“You love me a lot and nothing can equal your love”

O my Dear Dad,
I remember the time when I held your hands and tried to walk, you said
“You are my world and one day you will be the king of this world”

O my Dear Dad,
I remember the time when I first went to school crying, you said
“You are my son and you will make me proud one day”

O my Dear Dad,
I remember the time; you taught me cycling and said,
“You are the best, and you will succeed in all your endeavours”

O my Dear Dad,
I remember the time when I scored centum in State Examination, and you said
“You made me proud my son”

O my Dear Dad,
I remember the time; you advised me to take good care of myself and learn English in college
“You are the king and you will prove you to this world”

O my Dear Dad,
I remember the time when I first left home to a new world, and you said
“You are a neonate, take care of yourself”

O my Dear Dad,
Today I’m here, tears are my friend, God is my only hope and I wish
“You should be alright soon”

Before taking leave, I request all of you to pray for my DAD, and wish him good wishes as Monday, he is gonna to be operated (Carcinoma ~ SUPRA MAJOR OPERATION BY WHIPPLE PROCEDURE). I wish and pray to God that he should be fine after this operation. So please pray for my DAD to get well soon.

~ Cute Tunes ~

This post have won in Blogeshwar 9.0 organized by Anubhooti. I thank all the sweet hearts for pushing me to win with their GOLDEN VOTES... Thank you thank you thank you...

This post is published as a part of Blogeshwar and Anubhooti
So much has been written about her over the years. People have exhausted the vocabulary in describing her rejuvenating beauty. But, she still throws up newness and mystery in all her forms that captivate our imagination. Nature’ bores no one indeed. I sought her refuge that evening for some reason that I don’t exactly remember. All I did was just stand on the green grass under the shady breeze of a tree as simple as that. But my eyes were feasted with a whole lot of things that remain everlastingly fresh in my memory. It’s true that she treats with more than you seek. The treat was not just visual. The fragrance of the flower that danced to the tunes of the breeze, the sounds of chirping birds, screaming kids, the soft touch of the grass and the amidst all these, the silence that my heart felt all these made me realize that there is something more, much more to life than my computer and my mobile phone. I was experiencing that new sense of happiness with a blend of mystery and delight much like a seven year old getting his first video game set. It was satisfying yet luring for more with every passing moment. I was thinking how nice it would be to enjoy this more often and closed my eyes and thanked God for the opportunity! And I slipped into my dreamland with my life.

'Hey, I told you it was all fine.’
He then knew it was a clear sign
That they were in the same sweet boat,
And some wave will keep ‘em afloat !

Their walk so melodious and richly flowing;
Smiles and joy came along glowing.
They picked every leaf and lonely flower
That lay on the way, hour after hour !

He heard her heart and mind so clear
Not once did they need words to near
Grand attire on cute young feet
A treat to watch a print so neat !

Time may pass and they may grow
Change has lots of secrets to throw
Their shoes may not fit them that time
And their talk may not sound sublime !

But deep in their hearts firmly set
Was a feeling of comfort they always met;
Every friend knows that this is love
One that does not need any dove !

And there was a loud noise that closed the fantasy doors of that world and opened my eyes to annoyingly greet the bright sun whose punctuality. I’ve always envied. Around me were four thick walls and that same room of mine that had witnessed nearly every ‘face’ of mine! Oh! Only a dream hmmm! Well, yes. Where’s all that greenery and poetic dreams today in reality! It’s machines all the way. Even that ‘loud noise’ was from my mobile’s alarm. Imagine if we all were to live without our mobile phones and computers. Most of us can’t even think of it! Let’s give space to nature and poems in our dreams at least!

~ come on idiot, you are for me ~

I am the cigarette; you are my fire.
No smoke on my cigar, after you left.
We didn’t have to fight; I'd say you are right.
Come on Idiot, you are for me.

I glowed in my ashtray, sent up fumes of grey.
I smiled to wonder, why so much of love?
Endless we are; why to end?
Come on Idiot, you are for me.

So many cigarettes, in a non-smoker's tray.
Living in solitude, the sinful pain.
Rambling and wandering, thinking of you?
Come on Idiot, you are for me.

The winds blows on my face, I smell you.
The dew drops on my lips, damp, I taste you.
Wherever I see, I feel you.
Come on Idiot, you are for me.

You are here again, Incensed lips skid.
But our true love, live ever and forever.
I breathe you, I feel you and I am you.
Come on Idiot, you are for me.

Through a child’s eyes

This poem have WON BLOGJUNTA's 'NaPrWriMo Month, Poem of the day. Check out the results here

Through a child’s eyes
World is a space for humans
Neither the boundaries
Nor their skins matter

Through a child’s eyes
Race is what happens
On the school playground
Not the human colors

Through a child’s eyes
God is an unseen love
Adored for the blessings
Not the religious divisions

Through a child’s eyes
Mommy & Daddy are souls
Friends & Siblings are blood
Rests of them are relatives

Through a child’s eyes
This poem is a rhyme
A bunch of words to cheer
Without knowing the real fear

Happy New Year !
Happy to a perfect Poet
Thanks for the smiles

! Wishes !

BlogJunta - An ode to the Blogosphere

Thanks BlogJunta for picking this post as Editor's Choice.

The poem "! Wishes !", selected by Gemma @ Greyscale Territory as her choice of best blog posts (January 2011). Wanna know what she said about this post, read it here

"Amazing character sketches of personas! Love the slight differences and especially love the real inner spirit imbued in the last very personal insight into the writer's persona! (in response to !Wishes! by Someone is Special)" - Happy man to read these sweet words and to be in the list of selected blogs..

As a human being...
O my beautiful God!
Give me the world
With no trace of war
Give me the country
With no fear of crime
Give me the people
With no difference in races
Give me the neighbor
With no jealousy in heart
Give me the relations
With no fake smile on the face
If not,
Give me the soul
With no wish to wish!

As an IT Professional...

O my beautiful God!
Give me the workplace
With no partiality in people
Give me the client
With no insulting words on call
Give me the project
With no dreadful word: deadline
Give me the code
With no bug in it
Give me the day
With no Monitor to stare at
If not,
Give me the world
With no ‘IT’ word!

As a poet...

O my beautiful God!
Give me the morning
With no horn sound
Give me the night
With no artificial stars
Give me the air
With no pollution in it
Give me the water
With no ships on it
Give me the Mountain
With no tourists in it
If not,
Give me the heart
With no love for poems!

As Someone is Special

O my beautiful God!
Give back the beautiful place
Where I lived for 300 peaceful days
Give back the joyful childhood
When I smiled for no reasons
Give back the friendly lap
Where I slept for hours
Give back the lovely day
When I slept for 24 hours
Give back the school
Where I was the only Hero
Give back the sweet moments
When I scored centum in Mathematics
Give back the narrow road
Where I raced with cycles
Give back the pleasant time
When I first felt who I am to someone
If not,
Give me the heart
With belief as weapon
That these words will come true
One day!

O my beautiful God!
  Grant me these wishes!
O my beautiful God!

I know I am late in posting; probably this should have been posted on or before November 1st but I am posting today to make everyone know that Someone Is Special, official part of NaNoWriMo going to take part and try his hand. I am not sure of completing the challenge but I will give my best to complete the task of 50,000 words, the magical figure for an amateur writer.

I am also writing for Leo’s Z-A Challenge (bits and pieces of what I write for NaNo) here, it is a combo work for me and it may result as a delight if I am successful. I am clear on my part but I wanted my blogging friends to be with me throughout this tough time and push me harder to accomplish this challenge. I may not write for all the memes that I do usually; I may not read my fellow bloggers work but I promise once this is done, I am sure I will reciprocate them.

If you want to know more about NaNo, visit Jamie here and get clarified. Thanks Jamie for your wonderful help.

An Ode to Friendship

The frozen crystals came closer
Dense deep cloud kept darkening
A tiny drop came thundering down
Fell in the ocean and screamed in silence
Overjoyed at the union, it smiled in circles
Dissolved its state and became great
We happily swam
In the ocean of friendship

A threat came on one day
Followed with a shocking news
No more drops in the ocean
Made me cry until I dry
Realized that true friendship
Can never end even one die
Dedicating this verse as
An ode to Friendship

I swam to reveal
That you are a Perfect Poet
Accept me with smile

The Fragrance Of Friendship

I woke up in surprise; the day had finally revealed itself

With a lot of charm and beauty, it arrived in its real self.

My heart beamed in its rays of hope - a simple, true smile

That would remind our bond ever stronger with the mile!

But the dark was long and painful, without a trace of peace

Haunted by illusions of fear and worry that failed to cease.

I was waiting for the light to dawn, without any surety

Doubted the flawless truth, and lost the sparkle of purity.

The light was silently watching me, perhaps knowing I was blind;

Cast away the shadows I was trying to unravel in my mind.

Showed me the essence of life, decorating it with moments of fun

The Melody of Friendship blossomed in me, joy in a ton!

It manifests in many different forms, so unique in each!

Demands no return at all - a lesson for life to preach.

From the leaves and the wind to the sun and the moon

There’s friendship everywhere that evolved not so soon

Common yet very precious, I wonder, ‘Is there a better treasure?’

So much said words can’t consume even a part of its measure!

Across ages and lands, it has steered every one of us

To the great heights we discovered buried within ‘us’.

#98 Rhyming Waters

On a pleasant evening with the moon,
I rhymed waters for you to reach soon!
With the birds singing the song,
I rhymed waters with you along!

Trees danced with the gentle breeze,
I rhymed waters for time to freeze!
With plectrum striking the guitar strings,
I rhymed waters with your lips!

Tuning the scales with the pegs,
I rhymed waters for thy bliss!
With the heavy love watering the soul,
I rhymed waters for my twin soul!

Sweet Dish

It's time to say thanks to Jingle and the fellow "Thursday Poets Rally", Poets for nominating me for this wonderful award, "The Perfect Poet Award". Thank you so much poets for the sweet welcome for my poem, "Sweetened Waters". I love to nominate, Olivia for her sweet work... Here comes my Sweet Dish.

Tastes good, perhaps, an easy success

But, one that finds you not so soon,

After hard lessons of corrections and try

That instills a passion to prove a thing,

With a brave heart, enduring pains,

And the best wishes of dear and near;

One that is earnt this way,

With his choicest blessings!

That is True Success!

It does vanish in time, but leaves its trails;

Adds more meaning to the journey

Than boast of the momentary destination.

Invites real joy and content like no other

And lifts your life to another level!

Wish you such a delicious success

Believe me; it tastes sweeter than the old!

The bridge is not so long

I can come to you along

The cold is killing you and me

I can give you, myself, and me

The hurting reasons make me wait

I still love you with all my heart

The sweet memories never fade away

I wish eternal love and peace in our way.

Sweetened Waters

Abstained from the fear of heavy love,

I prayed God for the real courage!

Realized that you were my real self

I came to my love by myself!

Sensed the halo future in your eyes,

I dissolved in the love within us!

North or South, East or West,

I say our love is the Sweetest!

Tasted the sweetest sweet in you, and

I emptied the butterflies from my stomach!

Sweetened soul watered with the heavy love,

I treasured these moments as, “Sweetened Waters
